Our History

In the last ten years Showmaster has grown from offering Production Management and Technical Expertise to small and medium sized venues and companies. Today we offer these same services, and much more, to a range of larger events from Community Events and Music Festivals to University Student Union Events.

In recent years Showmaster has become more involved with consultancy and funding advice to community groups and Local Authorities, writing Event Manual guides and planning initiatives on a strategic level.

It is our dedication to giving the highest quality of service and attention to detail coupled with great value for money that has enabled us to grow, and which will carry us forward in the future.

Over the past few years, Showmaster has become involved in representing the production industry as a elected member of NOEA, and has served on the PSA national council.

Timeline

 

How Showmaster has got to where he is today...

60's

  • Works as a roadie for a school band.
  • Does an engineering apprenticeship.
  • Moves to London.

70's

  • Returns to Wales where he is invoved in more roadie and production work.

80's

  • Involved in theatre, festival, community arts and pyrotechnics work.

90's
Works on a wide range of events including:

  • Professional theatre.
  • Large scale festivals.
  • Exhibitions.
  • TV production.
  • Dance music events.
  • Consultancy.
  • More pyrotechnics work.

00's
Kerry sets up Showmaster.

Work includes:

  • More consultancy and trade association representation.
  • Music and community arts events.
  • Even more pyrotechnics work.

Present Day

  • Delivered a Community Cohesion project for Coventry Partnerships... Celebrating Diversity Through Events.
  • Worked on the programme for the East Finchley Community Festival with Barnet Council.
  • Was responsible for production and Health & Safety of the relaunch of Hay-On-Fire in 2006.
  • Yet more Pyrotechnics work.
